IS THERMAGE FOR EVERYONE?

Thermage(TM) is not for everyone. If you have a lot of loose skin or deep wrinkles, Thermage(TM) may only help improve the quality of your skin; and other treatments may be needed to improve the effects of age, sun and to give you the result you are looking for.

What is the Thermage Procedure?

Thermage employs a patented capactive radiofrequency (CRF) technology called ThermaCool. It has been clinically proven to tighten and gently lift skin to smooth out wrinkles and renew facial contours. Incision free the procedure is fast and easy, with no downtime from normal activities. Unlike laser procedures, Thermage can be performed on a variety of patients with differing skin types. The ThermaCool procedure has been cleared by the FDA for the non-invasive treatment of facila wrinkles and rhytids (otherwise known as WRINKLES!)
 
How Does It Work?

The ThermaCool device uses a sophisticated treatment tip called ThermaTip which deliver a controlled amount of CRF energy. With each touch to the skin, the ThermaTip device uniformly heats a large volume of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin and its underlying tissue while simultaneously protecting the outer layer of skin with cooling. The deep uniform heating action causes deep structures in your skin to immediately tighten. Over time new and remodelled Collagen is produced to further tighten skin, resulting in a healthier, smoother skin and a more youthful appearance.
 
What will my skin feel like after the procedure?

Is the Thermage procedure Safe?

The Thermage procedure has an excellent safety record. With over 250,000 estimated worldwide patient treatments to date; the reported incidence of side effects is less than 0.4 percent. The most reported incidents reported is swelling, redness, bumps and blisters on or around the treated area. These side effects disappear in a few days or weeks. A rare (less than 0,11 percent) but longer lasting side effect described as surface irregularity has also been reported with the previous generation of Thermage.

How Long Before I Can Return to My Normal Activities?

Most people return to their normal activites immediately following the Thermage(TM) procedure. Some people experience mild redness, rather like a sunburn, but it disappears quickly. No special care is needed after unless specified by your physician.
